Aude, counsellor

MACC-registered

As a counsellor, my role is to build a safe and trusting relationship that will allow you to experience emotional healing and transformation.

If you're suffering from anxiety, depression or stress, feeling stuck or facing a major change in your life, you can draw strength from talking to someone acceptant, non-judgment and empathetic, outside your family and circle of friends.

Counselling can help you to understand and know yourself better, which can lead to lasting changes that can help you live a more fulfilling life and feel better about yourself. Talking at your own pace with the right counsellor will help you to approach your concerns in a new way, giving you a better understanding of yourself with the clarity to identify your options.

My practice

Counselling approach

As we journey together, we will identify and address the different challenges you are facing, going to their roots to overcome hardship and develop resilience. Together, we will find a way for you to be released and to experience breakthrough in your life.

I offer a compassionate therapeutic environment with confidential boundaries. I work empathically with adults of all ages and have experience in working with a variety of issues.

Our first contact

Before we engage on a therapeutic relationship, I offer a free 20min videocall.
That will allow us to evaluate your needs and ensure that counselling is right for you. It will also be the opportunity for you to ask any questions and for us to define how I can support you best.

Practicalities

My practice is open to both English and French speakers.

I mainly work online. Not only this format saves time, recent studies showed it also helps people feel safe and open up more (a necessary prerequisite for in-depth work). We would have secure and confidential video sessions (link sent by email – Zoom or Teams).

If you prefer meeting face to face, I can arrange to meet in a counselling room in Glasgow city centre.

Clients' testimonials

(published with permission)

Aude is a warm and encouraging counsellor. Her strategies were empowering as I worked through trauma. Like a compass, she helped me recognise the way forward as I gained ground.

Hazel

I found Aude to be extremely easy to communicate with. Her listening skills, gentle guidance and wonderful encouragement were highlights for me. She has a tender way of leading through difficult situations.
I would highly recommend Aude as a counsellor, we have already guided friends her way.

About my background

I have always been drawn to learn about psychology and to experience for myself a life released from traumas. Travelling, discovering new cultures and getting involved in social projects have enriched me and taught me how beautifully complex and unique each human being is.

In 2018, I decided to retrain as a professional counsellor. I undertook my placement in a NHS Hospice and volounteered as a grief counsellor with CRUSE Scotland. Early 2022, I graduated and started my own practice. I am now a registered member of the professional counselling body A.C.C.
